What is Micro- Needling

Professional skin needling works by creating thousands of microscopic channels in the dermis of the skin. In response to creating these micro channels the skin cells release a series of growth factors and proteins to trigger the stimulation of new collagen. The Dermapen 4.utilizes the most advanced needling device technology, with a 16 needle cartridge, the Dermapen glides over the skin 104% faster than other Microneedling devices for patient comfort, while also creating more rejuvenating channels and increased results.

What can I expect during my appointment.

Prior to all treatments at Fab Clinic A full medical history will be taken and you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns and expected outcomes. You will need to complete a consent form prior to your treatment and pre treatment photos will be taken. It's best to come to the clinic without any make up on, however your skin will be thoroughly cleansed with a special skin anti-septic preparation. A combination of very specialized Dermapen serums will be applied to the skin to infuse into the skin with the help of the Dermapen device. Post treatment, a special sculptured sheet mask, infused with hyaluronic acid will be applied to the skin, to hydrate and sooth.

Does the treatment hurt?

Unlike traditional dermal rolling treatments, the Dermapen delivers a gentler treatment. Treatments can have varying degrees of discomfort and are most often vey superficial. Most clients tolerate the treatment without the need of topical numbing.

How soon can I return to normal activities?

After your Dermapen treatment, its normal to see redness and for the skin to feel tight, almost like a sunburn. The degree of the redness will be different from person to person and form treatment to treatment, and may last 12 - 24 hours. Your skin may be sensitive to touch and slightly pink and swollen for few days after the treatment. this should improve by the 3rd day. Some people may also experience mild flacking of the skin by day 4 after treatment. Most people continue with there normal activities after the treatment, however it is recommended to avoid work outs, swimming, makeup and sun for at least 24 hours after the treatment.

How long before I see results?

Typically you may see results within the first 2 weeks after your treatment. Lasting results and more significant changes becomes visible after 3 to 6 treatments, spaced 2 to 6 weeks apart. The condition of your skin will continue to improve over the next 6 to 12 months after a course of treatments and even more so when combined with recommended home care

What is the cost for a Dermapen treatment
